Project Runway

I like Kate Pankoke! Her styles are so unique and she really inspires me.I am totally rooting for her! I watch it every single week.

                                                 Judges

Zac Posen: He's a great judge but he should go a little easier on the designers.
Heidi Klum: I think she is really honest but sometimes she pours too much of that on her criticism which can hurt the designers.
Nina Garcia: She is always at least a little optimistic but not everything is good work.

                                              The Mentor

Tim Gunn is the thread that sews everything together…Get it? And I also think that he is the fashion security guard when he sees how the designers are doing in the design room and I think that he gives really helpful advice.

Miss Tosh and GMAMA

Let me tell you about Miss Tosh, who found me on Instagram. She is a model and designer from LA but is in school in Chicago and she sent me an e-mail about her new line GMAMA!!! When you think about your grandma`s closet you see wonders of the past but she suddenly turns them into a "wear whatever" person. While you are creating your own style, your grandma thinks she’s cool too because she thinks she should go back to the styles she wore when she was young. She thinks about how amazing and vibrant she`ll look in those clothes! So she orders some GMAMA and when she puts them on, and she realises she IS her granddaughter! Thats EXACTLY what this line can do for your grandma.
Then she calls you and for the first time saying, "Hi dear! Do you want to go shopping? I need you to help me re-vamp my closet BIG TIME." You take her out and are SO surprised to see HOW stylish she is! You get to talk about designers, fashion lines, fashion shows, and perfumes. Then as you're walking along she sees a pretty 60's vintage purse and you tell her, "That purse is SO pretty! It'll look great with your TOSH outfit!" Then you think about about this GORGEOUS line and that vintage purse that you actually helped her pick out. She is happy you have her style but she knows that she’s just  as much your biggest fashion fan. Aaaaaw!

These are AMAZING!!!
Tosh fitting her model.Work thse clothes!!!

Is that what your everyday grandma would wear?

"GMAMA'S Junk Drawer" : The essence of GMAMA breaks through all boundaries, unapologetically shattering any box of conformity that attempts to encase her. At the age of 60, my Gmama broke through societies expectations and began adorning herself with tattoos, riding motorcycles, ripping, dying, studding, and stitching her own garments. She confronted her identity and responded with fashion. She became G-MAMA, refusing the conformists title for a grandmother. Her story embodies a whimsical rebellious spirit that I find in my female mentors and role models. The women modeling in the show are the women who inspired the collection. My grandmother ( at age 73), my friend Denise Hansard(Dream Coach), and Sandra Adams (professor/ mentor). TOSH

Paris' 1st Concert: LITTLE BOOTS

9/18/09
"My daddy played "Little Boots" and I totally wanted to hear her music all the time over and over!
We found out she was playing soon, so we got our tickets and my Tia talked to me about Victoria Hesketh. How she became "Little Boots", because she studied music, was in a band, but wanted something fun and different than they did, so she went out by herself and created what she wanted to do. Different sounds and different instruments!
My 1st concert was at a big show with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but I didn't really know their music so this is my REAL 1st concert because I loooooooooove Little Boots and she lives faaaaar far away in England so I HAD to see her! I had to take a nap if I wanted to go though, so I did.

When the show started I knew ALL the songs!!! Little Boots' outfit was AMAZING! I loved her music and how she played with her space instruments. My favorite song is "Stuck on Repeat" and I wanted a avant garde outfit....so my arm was hidden in the outfit that my Tia made! I gave it to Little Boots & she loved it!!! I had the BEST time at my 1st concert!!!"

Fashion Design for "Ledy GaGa"

"She described to me every single part of the outfit she designed. Like the non-existant lips, thigh-high boots on top of heels, and eyelashes so long they touch her hair, haha!" -Her Aunt, EB1955

Flamenco Fashions

Designer Pepa Castro
"I love the style and all the ruffles. I really want to learn how to dance but I think I need a photo of Spain so I could learn. Oh! I also want a photo of flamenco dancers so I could dance in front of them. They go very fast like my jazz dances but they have cuter outfits! They move their dresses all over the place and I love it!"

These are Jeremy Scott Spring line! I YELLED when I saw them.
"They're soooo cute. Very hipster and flamenco mixed together.
SO 2010 and SO fab!"

"OMG look at her hat !!!!!! I want it!"

"So flamenco style dress but... it needs to be a little tighter. The mermaid cut!"

"Neon pink flamenco vest by River Island. OMG I died!"

Alexander McQueen: Designer to the Angels

My aunt told me about Christian Siriano and how he became a talented designer. She told me after high school he went to fashion College in London and he was an intern for Alexander Mc Queen. Being an intern is when you work around the designer helping them out with little things, but you don't get money back like in a regular job. You usually do it for free, but you learn A LOT from being around real fashion people.
The second time I learned about Alexander McQueen is when I was BLOWN AWAY by this outfit I saw on Lady GaGa. I started drawing crazier fashions in my sketches.
Mom, "Paris, you know the designer Alexander McQueen? The one who made the crazy heels & oufits in the Bad Romance video?" Paris, "Yeah." Mom, "He died. He went up to heaven."
Paris, "Aw.......well..............then he's gonna make the angels cute outfits!" Mom, "Yes he will."
Paris, "But wait.....does he have a fashion show?!" (she knows about Fashion Week)
Mom, "Yeah." Paris, "But if he's not there, somebody has to be there! That means that somebody needs to replace him, like when Christian Dior died and Yves St Laurent replaced him. Maybe I can replace him!"
Mom, "Paris."

(No disrespect in "replacing" him. She wants the show to go on so his last creations are shown.)
"Thanks for taking Paris' fashion imagination to new levels Mr. McQueen!" - Paris' Family

Project Runway Ultimate Design Challenge

I saw the Project Runway Design Kits a while ago while shpping with my mom but she said it cost too much.
Well some girl who was not that fashionable returned a kit so they put it on clearance!!!
I love everything about the kits and really like the challenges.
It helps me draw things I would have never thought of!
