Miss Tosh and GMAMA

Let me tell you about Miss Tosh, who found me on Instagram. She is a model and designer from LA but is in school in Chicago and she sent me an e-mail about her new line GMAMA!!! When you think about your grandma`s closet you see wonders of the past but she suddenly turns them into a "wear whatever" person. While you are creating your own style, your grandma thinks she’s cool too because she thinks she should go back to the styles she wore when she was young. She thinks about how amazing and vibrant she`ll look in those clothes! So she orders some GMAMA and when she puts them on, and she realises she IS her granddaughter! Thats EXACTLY what this line can do for your grandma.
Then she calls you and for the first time saying, "Hi dear! Do you want to go shopping? I need you to help me re-vamp my closet BIG TIME." You take her out and are SO surprised to see HOW stylish she is! You get to talk about designers, fashion lines, fashion shows, and perfumes. Then as you're walking along she sees a pretty 60's vintage purse and you tell her, "That purse is SO pretty! It'll look great with your TOSH outfit!" Then you think about about this GORGEOUS line and that vintage purse that you actually helped her pick out. She is happy you have her style but she knows that she’s just  as much your biggest fashion fan. Aaaaaw!

These are AMAZING!!!

Is that what your everyday grandma would wear?

"GMAMA'S Junk Drawer" : The essence of GMAMA breaks through all boundaries, unapologetically shattering any box of conformity that attempts to encase her. At the age of 60, my Gmama broke through societies expectations and began adorning herself with tattoos, riding motorcycles, ripping, dying, studding, and stitching her own garments. She confronted her identity and responded with fashion. She became G-MAMA, refusing the conformists title for a grandmother. Her story embodies a whimsical rebellious spirit that I find in my female mentors and role models. The women modeling in the show are the women who inspired the collection. My grandmother ( at age 73), my friend Denise Hansard(Dream Coach), and Sandra Adams (professor/ mentor). TOSH

Silent Stripes

Hello Everyone !
Ooooh WHAT a night I had!!! I found out about Tarina Tarantino's "Silent Stripes" event last week. I called my Tia to see if she could make me an outfit cause Tarina's parties are always SO special!!! I started to read about the collection. With earrning names like "VILMA", "MAX" and "GRETA" you could see the whole theme. Of course the black and white for the black and white movies! I talked to her daughter Olivia and she loves Charlie Chaplin! HOW super cool that her mom made a whole line about something she loves?!

My cousin Liset was visiting and came along with me! I wrote down some questions to ask Tarina about the line and lets just say it didn't go as planned.
So after the well worth 40min drive we finally got to the party! I went straight to the TT make-up counter and I noticed one of THEE most sparkly white lip glosses I have EVER seen!

I saw the dessert table.
OH MY!
There was cream cheese cupcakes, cake balls, cookies, chocolate sticks
and the lemonade was so fresh! It tasted like I was biting into a lemon but a sugary one!

So Finally I saw Tarina after not seeing her for almost 2years! You will not believe what happened..... I got super nervous. Yup I did. I had the questions in my moms purse but could not get myself to do it. It was SO much easier talking to her when I was 5 and 6 years old.....
but it was ok......Tarina was SUPER nice!

Now it was time for the contest and guess what?!
WE WON !!!!

I could not believe we won and the necklace was to DIE for!
I also met Tarina's two daughters and we hit it off. We talked about the Goosbumps books we're reading and about how are schools are......you know..... girl talk. I really liked them.
Hope I run into them again!
OOOOMG.....GUESS WHO I also ran into?!!!
My fashion sistah, SELENE LUNA!
AAAAAH!!! How cool right?!
I LOVE catching up with her. So all in all.......it was a amazing night!

If you think these pictures are pretty, you have GOT to see Tarina's jewerly in REAL LIFE!
I'm sure you'll find something amazing on her site:

"I had so much fun!!! Here's me backstage....

"I started to get nervous and I know Dita dances before her shows, so my Tia sang Black Eye Peas "Tonight's gonna be a good night" for me."

 "Putting on some sparkle"

"Selene is the sweetest person. She inspires a lot of people to follow their dream.
She dosen't really like kids....but she likes me! She gave me some vintage yellow shoes and her first vintage dress! I can't wait 'till we're the same clothes size so we can trade fashions and that would be SO fun!!! "

"Checkin out some cool costumes before I go on!"

PMCA talk with Michael Schmidt Raven Kauffman & Rose Apodaca

Pasadena Museum of California Art - Talk on high-fashion....

"Michael Schmidt invited me to see his presentation. Raven Kauffman was there. sI saw her really cool handbag that has beattle wings on it!!! Rose Apodaca asked them questions and I saw their creations on the screen! My tia had a lil' frame that she didn't really use anymore so she used it for a hat! She made for me because I looooooove Isabella Blow. By the way I have a friend named Isabella!"
